Our name pays tribute to Sequoyah (1770–1843), the visionary inventor of the Cherokee syllabary who transformed an entire nation by creating a structured system to share and preserve knowledge.
Just as Sequoyah gave his people the tools to communicate and thrive, we set out to provide a unified operational language for cybersecurity.

Sekoia was created by Freddy Milesi, alongside co-founders Georges Bossert and Therese Favet.
Recognizing that security operations centers were constantly drowning in fragmented data and struggling to translate disconnected alerts into a cohesive strategy, they joined forces to build a robust, European-born cybersecurity champion.

Driven by their extensive field experience and a shared vision to bring true operational clarity to the market, they officially launched the company in 2022. Since our inception, this vision has resonated strongly across the industry. We have raised €60 million to date, allowing us to accelerate our international expansion, attract top-tier talent, and rapidly scale our operations.

Today, Sekoia continues to honor its namesake: we provide the unified system that connects your teams, makes sense of the noise, and unites your entire cyber defense.
