Paris, September 9, 2025 – The European cybersecurity technology company Sekoia, developer of the Sekoia AI SOC platform and leader in automated detection and response solutions powered by AI and cyber threat intelligence, today announces the appointment of Renaud Deraison as an independent member of its Board of Directors.
This appointment comes just months after the €26 million pre-Series B closed in April 2025, bringing total funds raised to €60 million since inception. It also follows the arrival in January 2024 of Guillaume Poupard – Deputy CEO of Docaposte and former General Director of ANSSI – to Sekoia’s board. Since then, the company has joined the French Tech 120 index and protects nearly 1000 customers in 23 countries.
With over twenty years of experience in cybersecurity, Renaud Deraison is recognized as the “father” of the Nessus® vulnerability scanner. As co-founder and former CTO of Tenable, he led the company to its NASDAQ IPO in 2018. His international vision and technological expertise will be invaluable in supporting Sekoia.io’s growth and innovation strategy.
